Baseball Skills Camp for Grades K to 6

Our summer camps are back and better than ever! Improve your skills in a fun and instructional atmosphere. These camps are for players in grades K-6, who will be separated into different training groups based on age and ability. Specific instruction and skill development will be led by Players Edge's professional teaching staff in small groups to provide better instruction for each player. Younger players will learn the proper hitting fundamentals, throwing mechanics and fielding techniques that will lead to more success on the diamond. Older players will focus on advanced skills including hitting, infield and outfield play and situational play while reviewing their core fundamentals to make sure they are sound. Baserunning and mental approach to the game will also be featured for all age groups.

So there will always be camp - rain or shine!

Jr. Knights Travel Baseball Camps

Players Will Be Divided by Age

These camps are a great opportunity for the travel players to learn techniques that we teach to our Northern Knights Elite High School Showcase Team players. Led by Northern Knights Director Eddie Holbrook, the coaches will work to advance the skill sets of the players and get them ready for fall tryouts. The clinics will be fast paced and the players should come prepared to work hard. Some of the areas the players will train in are:

• Hitting: Advanced drill sets/Mental approach at the plate/Live BP
• Fielding: Advanced glove work with position specific training
• Pitching: How to properly warm up/Advanced drill work/Thinking like a pitcher

Jr. Impact Travel Softball Camps

Players Will Be Divided by Age

Our most advanced all-around summer softball camp for youth travel players. Training will be led by Illinois Impact Head Coach Kent Szarabajka and will be devoted to the advance drill work similar to what he uses for the Impact players. Strategic areas with hitting, defense and pitching will all be covered. The camp is run like a
16u or 18u Illinois Impact team training session. The pace is fast and the content high level. Focus will also be on developing the player’s mental edge, an over looked aspect when it comes to player development.
