Players Edge Elite Level Series - "Dedicated to the Dedicated"

The Elite Level Series represents our most challenging and advanced instruction. Players need to be approved to register for an Elite clinic as we want to make sure that the clinic is appropriate for the player and that the instructor can teach at a very high level. Players need a very high skill set for their age. Realistically, these clinics are for high A level travel and accomplished high school players. The pace will be quick and the content demanding. Those that take part will become more refined players, both physically and mentally. Please note that some of these clinics are taught in small groups, with the maximum number of players strictly enforced.


Explosion Hitting (13/14u Travel & HS)

This Elite Level clinic's goal is simple – to have the player develop more bat speed and power so he will be able to drive the ball with more authority. This is not a hitting clinic in the traditional sense. We will be focusing on bat speed and power through the use of specially weighted bats (the LOG) and weighted balls, special hitting drills and exercises that increase core strength and improve the quickness of the hands through the zone. It is assumed that the players have a solid core of hitting fundamentals. Every player will receive a LOG bat (a $75 value) so they can train with it in the cages outside the clinic to help maximize the results from this training. This clinic works to increase your bat speed an average of 5 MPH. Players should be prepared to work hard and leave exhausted!

Explosion Pitching (13/14u Travel & HS)

Modeled after college and professional pitchers conditioning and strength programs, this 7 week Elite Level pitching clinic will get you 'game' ready for the upcoming season. The program includes a conditioning/arm-care phase and a velocity phase designed to strengthen the pitcher's throwing arm. For success, this program requires a solid commitment from the player, both in time spent at the clinic and outside the clinic. Each conditioning phase will be similar but will vary in workouts. Players will go through medicine ball routines, core muscle exercises, plyometric workouts and conditioning. The velocity phase will focus mainly on arm strengthening and will include extended bullpens, abdominal workouts, shoulder care and conditioning and sprint work.

Coach Kent's High School Softball Tryout Prep Clinic

Led by Players Edge Director of Softball, Kent Szarabajka, this unique High School Level training experience combines individualized training through private instruction with group training on larger scale aspects of the game. Together, it provides a powerful package that will have each player ready for tryouts on February 27th. The weekly hour long clinic will cover all skills needed (hitting, fielding and throwing) to maximize your high school tryout.

Coach Szarabajka or one of the other group instructors will also meet with each player for four individual 30 minute private lessons to focus in on what each player on skill development specific to each player. The group session will meet on the same day and time each week. The private lessons can be scheduled based on your schedule. Early registrations have the best chance on working with Coach Szarabajka for the individual lessons.
